Introduction
Welcome to Teach and Talk! We're excited to learn with you. Meet Sidney and Jessica--they'll be your instructors as you learn to navigate your communication device. Helpful tip: Watch each video straight through first, then go back and work through it together using the worksheets!
Lesson Seven: Summer
After a quick look at Sidney’s communication device, the girls take things outside to talk all about fun in the sun. They’ll open the Mystery Box to practice vocabulary words, field some questions to form complete sentences, and even do a little math.

Lesson Six: Getting Ready
The girls are gearing up to start the day, and they have a trifecta of energizing activities to help them do it. Everyone’s favorite Mystery Box is back, and so is the Q&A and a morning-ready counting exercise.

Lesson Five: In the Kitchen
Time for one of the girls’ favorite activities: cooking! Before they fire up the stove, however, they have to get organized with a sorting activity. Then they’ll review some vocabulary with fruits, veggies, and appliances.

Lesson Four: Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day! During this lesson, Sidney and Jessica practice complete sentences by writing valentines to a few of the most important people in their lives (once Sidney can stop laughing, of course).

Lesson Three: Senses
We’re all used to watching and listening to Teach and Talk, but in this lesson the girls want to engage other senses to explore new sections of Sidney’s communication device and broaden their vocabulary words.

Lesson Two: Bedtime Routines
In this lesson, Sidney and Jessica open the mystery box to build their vocabulary and navigate different parts of their communication device. Then, they practice instructions and processes with a recipe, and do a quick-hit game on colors and shapes.
Follow along, have fun, and don't forget your pajamas!
Lesson One: Heads Up
Today, we're going to play a game designed to help students learn to describe features of objects. Use the printable cards, linked below, to follow along. If your student is a more tactile learner, feel free to substitute the cards with real objects that will help them make associations.

OUTINGS
Outing Three: Starbucks
Time for a field trip! Jessica and Sidney are always looking to take their activities out of the house and find real-world applications to what they’re learning. The best-case scenario? When that application involves a cup of coffee. The girls are headed to Starbucks!
Outing Two: The Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Fall is here, and the girls are in the mood to celebrate with a treat. Take a trip with Sidney and Jessica to the grocery store, where they gather ingredients from their shopping list and ask for help from a friendly cashier so they can make a delicious, creamy pumpkin pie smoothie.
Who wouldn’t want a sip of that?
Outing One: Butterflies and Experience Books
Teach and Talk is on the road again! This time, Sidney and Jessica are at Butterfly Wonderland, an interactive space where visitors can see, touch and feed butterflies flying all around them. After making some beautiful new friends at the exhibit, Sidney and Jessica return to the classroom to make an Experience Book about their adventure. They’ll practice decision-making and sentence structure to put together a fun recap of their fun day out.
